Hi Folks,
We use HTML formatted email for branding purposes - which is great except that it obviously messes up the formatting of any plain text inserted into it (from notes/assignments/resolutions etc).
It occurrs that if we were to change the string type of our resolution description field to html then this would get around that problem for resolution emails sent to customers.
So two questions:
(1) When TP set up our system the Resolution description field-size was set as 2000. You can't change attribute field size via the console. Is there a safe way to do this directly on the DB? (I know I can simple set up a new field but this would be untidy as we have thousands of existing calls using the default field).
and (2) - I am sure I have seen warnings (even from LAnDesk support staff) about unpredictable behaviour etc when using html string types. Has anyone else had any problems doing this? Any advice?
Your help greatly appreciated as always.
Cheers - Adam.
